  • Imaging both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following the age specific guidelines of the facilities parameters.
  • Transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation and keeping the hospital computer system up to date with the progress of these exams.
  • Participating in outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships.
  • Performing all exams using established protocols and proper patient identification.
  • Educating patients concerning exams and screening for contrast allergies.
  • Completing all exams in a timely manner and minimizing empty table time.
  • Performing all types of imaging procedures and operating all equipment safely.
  • Properly screening patients of childbearing age and minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Practicing infection control standards and maintaining a clean and organized room.
  • Performing QA on CT scanners and handling pharmaceutical waste as required.
  • Reviewing all images of exams and notifying physicians of emergent findings.
  • Using the computer system for ordering, changing, and canceling exams.
  • Associate's degree or Technical degree in a related field, or combination of High School degree and related experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Completion of radiologic technology training and A.R.R.T. registration.
  • General radiographer state license as required by state if applicable.
