About The Position

Join Cleveland Clinic Main Campus and become part of one of the world’s most respected healthcare organizations as a key member of our multidisciplinary teams dedicated to providing compassionate and innovative care. This role includes the exciting opportunity provide care in Cleveland Clinic Main Campus’ new Neurological Institute. This new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility is designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke. In addition to working in the new Neurological Institute, caregivers in this role will have the opportunity to provide patient care in additional areas across Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, including Cardiac, Digestive Disease, Medical-Surgical and more. As a CT Technologist, you play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care through accurate and advanced computed tomography imaging. You’ll work in a dynamic outpatient setting where teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail help ensure a smooth and rewarding experience for both patients and caregivers. While the environment is fast-paced, you’ll be supported by a collaborative team and have access to the wide range of educational and professional development opportunities available at Cleveland Clinic. . A caregiver in this position works days, from 7:00am—3:30pm, Monday-Friday (no weekends).

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT) in good standing
  • Computed Tomography (CT) Certification [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)] within one year of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
  • You will be required to comply with this program, which will include obtaining an influenza vaccination on an annual basis or obtaining an approved exemption.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire patients chart data/requisition and review both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems and contraindications to the study.
  • Verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.
  • Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Maintain all aspects of the CT area, including the technical and clerical components, to ensure proper quality assurance results and any required documentation.
