Requirements

  • High School Grad or Equivalent
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Registered Computed Tomography Technician (RTCTARRT)
  • Certified Respiratory Tech (CRT)
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations in the CT area to ensure smooth and efficient flow including maintenance of supplies within designated budget.
  • Perform imaging of both neuro and body scans, building/performance of complicated 3D and CTA studies, and perform QA audits.
  • Utilize the hospital performance improvement process in the goals of Imaging Services.
  • Maintain records of examinations performed, obtain and document patient clinical history, and assist radiologists in special procedures such as biopsies.
  • Act as a lead technologist, coordinating patient and staff schedules, maintaining QI/QC, equipment maintenance, and modality meetings.
  • Establish and maintain ethical working relationships and good rapport with all referring physicians, hospital, and commercial agencies.
  • Meet with customers and partners to ensure service levels are maintained.
  • Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining respectful relationships.
  • Perform routine diagnostic and portable exams when needed and assist in the Radiology Department as necessary.
  • Provide supervision to employees, encourage employee engagement and patient satisfaction initiatives, and ensure quality and efficiency of the CT Department.
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities, act as a clinical resource to unit personnel, and assure current standards of practice for the unit.
  • Provide shift leadership and support to the Imaging staff.
