This position involves competently performing routine and specialized computerized tomography procedures to produce quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers, aiding in the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. The technologist works independently, utilizing sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results. A key aspect of the role is to build confidence and cooperation with patients, their families/support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. The role also requires adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety while delivering optimal care. Additionally, the individual may be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or assisting in the orientation of new staff to the department.
