About The Position

Responsible for performing CT procedures on patients of every age utilizing approved techniques and producing quality scans for physician interpretation.

Requirements

• Current ARRT certification
• Current SCRQSA license
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program

Responsibilities

• Reviews medical record for patient history and clinical data for correlation with CT
• Performs CT procedures on patients of every age utilizing approved protocol. Displays knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathology, and/or physiological data to obtain optimal studies
• Assumes care for physical and psychological needs of patients during procedure
• Selects technical factors and imaging mode
• Evaluates images for technical quality and prepares for physician interpretation
• Practices aseptic technique as necessary and/or universal precautions
• Operates CT equipment and monitors function of equipment. Recognizes malfunctions and needs for servicing. Takes appropriate steps to report those needs
