About The Position

The CT Technologist II is a state and nationally registered professional, who under the direction of the technical supervisor and medical director competently performs all routine CT exams in the department. Additionally, the CT Technologist II competently performs advanced CT procedures, including but not limited to CT angiography and 3D reconstruction. The CT Technologist II may also assist in the orientation and training of new technologists. The technologist educates the patient/family about these exams and may also provide instructions relating to these exams. The technologist performs service recovery as appropriate. Performs other duties as assigned. Hospital based positions may require call responsibility and rotation to hospital adjacent imaging center locations. Outpatient imaging center-based positions may require rotation to other imaging centers. All CT Technologists project an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct and support the Radiology Department mission. They participate in the continuous quality improvement process while maintaining a working knowledge and following all departmental and organizational policies and procedures. This knowledge may include the use of specialized instrumentation and quality control requirements, as well as specific regulatory requirements of Title 22, California Licensing & Certification of Health Facilities and Title 17, California Radiation Control Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned that do not violate laws or regulations that require personnel with special licensure.
