About The Position

The CT Technologist II position at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL, is a full-time role requiring 40 hours of work weekly, primarily from 3pm to 11:30pm, with rotating weekends and holidays. The position offers a sign-on bonus of $10,000 and involves operating computerized tomography (CT) scanners to obtain images for diagnostic purposes, following the directions of radiologists and established procedures. The technologist will also be responsible for patient positioning, administering contrast media, and ensuring high-quality imaging.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure required.
• Must be a candidate for ARRT (R) certification and complete the exam within six months.
• ARRT (CT) certification required within one year of start date.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong computer skills and ability to troubleshoot software-related issues.
• Prior CT experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with post-processing for CTA-Perfusion/Siemen.
• Willingness to cross-train to CT.

Responsibilities

• Operates computerized tomography (CT) scanner to obtain filmed images for use by physicians.
• Positions patients for procedures and administers injections of contrast media.
• Operates scanners to visualize pathologies and manipulates images for optimal quality.
• Delivers customer service by being attentive to patients' needs and explaining procedures.
• Ensures compliance with established procedures and radiologist's directions.
