About The Position

The University of Rochester is seeking a full-time CT Technologist to perform CT exams in compliance with the Imaging Sciences department and all governing bodies. The position is located at 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, New York, and requires working night shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. The role involves using various CT scanners and equipment, educating patients about procedures, and ensuring high-quality imaging while adhering to safety protocols. The position offers a compensation range of $33.00 - $42.90 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Current NYS licensure and ARRT certification with CE credits as required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a clinical or hospital environment.
• Certification in Computed Tomography.
• Ability to perform all CT related duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT exams by following and verifying referring provider orders.
• Educates patients/families regarding procedures and/or treatments.
• Prepares patients for radiological/CT procedures by positioning them and adjusting immobilization devices.
• Produces high-quality images and prepares/presents them for timely interpretation.
• Maintains accurate documentation and adheres to safety policies.
• Practices radiation protection techniques (ALARA).
• Troubleshoots and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
• May train new employees or lead day-to-day work activities.
