About The Position

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a CT Technologist to join the Central Maine Medical Center Imaging Team! Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoast Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. Requirements

  • Prefer 1 or more years of radiologic/imaging and/or CT Scanning experience.
  • Prefer CT Scanning Certification.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required and/or Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a current ARRT or NMTCB Certification in Computed Tomography.
  • Current or within 1 month of hire American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BCLS certification.
  • Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
  • Possesses a high level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Proficiency with CT Scanning equipment, hardware and software (GE, Siemens, Phillips, and Toshiba preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of routine and specialized CAT scan imaging procedures.
  • Responsible for patient safety protocols.
  • Function as one of the first line interfaces with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Activities.
