About The Position

Here at Fairview, we are now hiring a CT Technologist to join our CT department at our Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN! This is a .9 FTE Baylor (72 hours paid, 48 hours worked per 2 week period) position. The CT Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).

Requirements

• Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross)

Nice To Haves

• 1 or more years of experience in a related role
• Previous ambulatory care experience
• Additional certifications in Imaging

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient data integrity
• Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures
• Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes
• Follows infection control guidelines
• Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members
• Responds appropriately to emergent situations
• Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
• Assesses the validity of the test results to determine if consistent with changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering substances
• Acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution
• Completes all required continuing education to uphold their imaging licensure
• Participates as an active team member
• Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
• Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
• Cleans and maintains room and supplies
