About The Position

After 16 week apprenticeship, this position will be full time midnights 10 hour shifts, 9p - 7a, rotating weekends as needed. Overview - This is a paid apprenticeship model which is a 16-week program that combines related online education through the ASRT, and on the job learning at Corewell Health. - Completion of this program satisfies the ARRT 16-credit Structured Education Requirements for CT. - After successful completion of all 12 modules of the program, participants will receive 16 CE credits and a document from the ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) recognizing their achievement. - Program includes requirement for a 1-year commitment as a CT Tech (at a .5 FTE status or higher) with Corewell Health that will begin upon entering a CT Technologist position. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree
  • Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
  • CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required OR CRT-Nuclear Medicine Technologist – NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board OR CRT-Nuc Med Technologist (N) – ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required

Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures performs diagnostic CT exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment.
  • Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation while applying ALARA principles of radiation protection.
