WakeMed’s CT Technologist Apprenticeship gives you the rare chance to float across all three of our hospital campuses and multiple Healthplex locations, learning side‑by‑side with experienced CT Technologists who love to teach and genuinely want to see you thrive. You’ll jump right into the action, supporting our CT teams across a variety of clinical environments. Under the direct supervision of licensed CT technologists and physicians, you will: Operate computerized tomography equipment to produce high‑quality diagnostic images of designated body areas Follow all radiation safety procedures and departmental protocols Deliver patient care that’s timely, professional, efficient, and safe, reflecting the WakeWay in everything you do Gain hands‑on experience in both hospital and Healthplex settings Build confidence working with trauma, emergency, inpatient, and outpatient populations Grow clinically through exposure to diverse cases, workflows, and experienced mentors You’ll float, learn, practice, and grow — and we’ll be with you every step of the way. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited CT Technology program
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program
- Certified Radiologic Technologist
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for patient care and learning
- A desire to grow in a fast‑paced, supportive environment
Responsibilities
