This is a paid apprenticeship model which is a 16-week program that combines related online education through the ASRT, and on the job learning at Corewell Health. Completion of this program satisfies the ARRT 16-credit Structured Education Requirements for CT. After successful completion of all 12 modules of the program, participants will receive 16 CE credits and a document from the ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) recognizing their achievement. Program includes requirement for a 1-year commitment as a CT Tech (at a .5 FTE status or higher) with Corewell Health that will begin upon entering a CT Technologist position. Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures performs diagnostic CT exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation while applying ALARA principles of radiation protection.
