About The Position

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic testing as directed by the physician at a competent technical level not requiring constant supervision. This position operates diagnostic equipment, including peripheral equipment, in a safe and efficient manner to obtain optimal test results. The CT Technologist manages the patient during the diagnostic procedure to meet patient care standards. This position ensures supplies are maintained and reports problems with equipment to the appropriate staff member. This position actively participates in and supports student clinical education activities where applicable. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation. Cross-Training Pathway for X-ray Technologists is available, offering a structured program designed to help licensed radiologic technologists expand their skills and transition into CT imaging.

Requirements

  • BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
  • Licensed by the State of NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) required.
  • Registered as American Registry of Radiology Technologist in Computed Tomography (CT) required.
  • Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist school required.
  • 1-year diagnostic testing experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask with attention to fine detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire.
  • NJDEP State License must be renewed biennially.
  • ARRT certification must be renewed annually.

Responsibilities
