About The Position

FlexStaff is hiring a temporary CT Tech to cover various shifts for an 8–13-week assignment. Setting takes place in Brooklyn, NY and is in a Medical Center Cat Scan Technologist – Days: Mon – Fri / Alternate Weekends Shifts: 7am 3pm /3pm – 11pm / 11pm - 7am Pay: 52.00-67.00 per hour (varies based on experience and shift preference/availability) Location: Brooklyn, NY Department: Radiology Level: Staff Position Summary Performs CT Procedures and Radiographic procedures at a technical level. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for Radiologic Diagnosis. Perform duties according to age and condition of patient. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Possesses knowledge of human growth and development. Be able to understand the range of treatment needed by each patient age group. Professional Requirements Selects proper technical factors on an individual basis Consults with physician and/or reads physician's orders to determine proper testing procedures according to established protocol. Assists the physician in preparing and administering contrast material. Develops film by automatic processing. Practices sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination. Adheres to Infection Control Policies. When necessary, must transport patients to and from the Radiology Department. Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Responsible for delegated areas of authority in the performance of routine or CT procedures.
