About The Position
The CT Technologist is responsible for imaging anatomical information form a cross-sectional plane of the body, with each image generated by a computer synthesis of X-ray transmission data obtained in many different directions in a given plane. The CT Tech is also responsible for obtaining the patients' medical history, explaining standard procedures and addressing patient concerns.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Applied Science or similar field required.
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

- Previous experience as a CT Tech preferred
Responsibilities
- Positioning patients for CT exam
- Explaining the procedure and obtaining patient consent
- Starts IV's and injecting contrast and dispensing oral contrast if needed.
- Evaluates CT images for technical quality.
- Prepares images for transmission to PACS, so radiologist can interpret the scans.
- Assist Radiologist with questions they may have regarding MIPS, 3D images, and reconstructions.
- Prepares CT orders, EMR notes, and checks lab values
- Order and charge entry for procedures
- Loading and operating power injectors for IV contrast media administration
- Performs other duties as assigned.
