About The Position

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols. The technologist ensures high-quality images, prioritizes patient safety, and maintains compliance with all regulatory and hospital standards. This is a per diem, (VARIABLE SHIFTS) with flexible scheduling based on departmental needs. CT TECH - 12HRS SHIFTS ARE VARIABLE AND WILL ROTATE BASED ON NEED

Requirements

  • One year of acute, clinical radiology experience
  • Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
  • Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT.
  • Radiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State Effective 07/01/2015, CT ARRT Certification is required.
  • Must maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire. Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures using proper technique and patient positioning.
  • Verify patient identification and physician orders prior to exam.
  • Prepare and administer contrast materials safely and effectively under supervision and per protocol.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and submit for interpretation.
  • Maintain accurate patient and procedure documentation in PACS/RIS systems.
  • Follow radiation safety standards and infection control procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition and report any malfunctions promptly.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications.
