About The Position

The CT Tech/Rad Tech position at TJ Health Pavilion involves performing diagnostic examinations, preparing the room for operation of equipment and procedures, cleaning and making minor adjustments, and maintaining inventory of linen and medical supplies in the CT suite. The role requires performing any and all related duties of the Diagnostic Imaging Department. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm, with no weekend shifts required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• ARRT(R)(CT) or registry eligible (must obtain ARRT(CT) within 12 months of hire date).
• Hold Current Kentucky Operators License.
• One year experience recommended as a staff technologist.
• Ability to follow directions and perform work according to department standards.
• Emotional maturity and ability to function effectively under stress.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic examinations and prepare the room for operation of equipment and procedures.
• Clean and make minor adjustments to equipment.
• Maintain inventory of linen and medical supplies in the CT suite.
• Demonstrate understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiologic positioning and exposure techniques.
• Monitor equipment during examination and report unusual occurrences.
• Assist physicians with radiologic examinations.
• Follow policies regarding consent for treatment and release of medical information.
• Identify and plan for appropriate safety precautions to prevent injury to patients.
• Demonstrate competency in performing 3D reconstructions and procedures under stress.
