Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Florida State License - general radiographer.
• ARRT - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR).
• Registered Computed Tomography Technician (RTCTARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Imaging both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following the age specific guidelines of FH parameters.
• Transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation.
• Keeping the hospital computer system up to date with the progress of these exams.
• Participating in outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships.
• Keeping, counting and recording of statistics, tracking and ordering supplies.
• Performing complicated 3D and CTA workstation studies.
• Overseeing smooth operations of campus locations.
• Performing the more difficult exams.
• Teaching students/new technologists.
• Completing all exams in a timely manner and minimizing empty table time.
• Educating patients concerning exams and properly screening for contrast allergies.
• Practicing infection control standards and utilizing approved PPE.
• Maintaining a properly stocked, organized and clean room.
• Performing QA on CT scanners.
