The CT Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures using computerized tomography scanners. This role is responsible for creating cross-section images of patients masses and internal organs for medical analysis. The technologist maintains a safe and clean working environment, follows quality assurance guidelines, and ensures the safety and comfort of the patient throughout the exam. TriStar Horizon Medical Center is an accredited, 150+ bed regional medical center. We offer a full array of services. These include cardiology and diagnostic imaging. These include emergency, inpatient rehabilitation. Also including oncology, orthopedics, and women's services. We are an Accredited Chest Pain Center and a Primary Stroke Center. TriStar Horizon is a leading provider of emergency heart and stroke care. Our satellite campus, TriStar Natchez, offers imaging and oncology services. They offer a 24/7, full-service ER that provides the same services as our main campus emergency room. Requirements

Current ARRT registration
Computer Tomography certification strongly preferred or acquired within six months of hire
1 year post-graduate related experience strongly preferred
Current BLS certification (or obtained 30 days from hire)

Responsibilities

You will perform all requested computed tomography examinations and document patient care services
You will operate radiology equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and maintain equipment inventories
You will ensure patient safety and comfort during transport and throughout the exam
You will administer contrast agents under the guidance of a site Radiologist
You will maintain a safe, clean, and cooperative work environment by adhering to hospital policies and infection control protocols
You will provide images in the desired format and contribute to the team effort as needed
You will maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous education and professional development
