About The Position

The CAT/CT Scan Technologist is responsible for producing computerized tomographic scanner radiographs as ordered by physicians. This role involves obtaining patient history, explaining procedures, and addressing patient concerns while performing specialized tasks related to CT scans. The position is essential for providing detailed images that aid in accurate diagnostics.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologist preferred.
• Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging.
• A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications.
• Current CPR certification if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Produce computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician.
• Obtain patient history and explain standard procedures to patients.
• Address patient concerns regarding the CT scan process.
• Perform a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.
