  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Graduate of an accredited program of Radiologic Technology is required.
  • Valid California Radiology Tech (CRT) certification from the State of California is required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R) is required; advanced ARRT certification in (CT) also is required.
  • Proof of venipuncture certification is required. Venipuncture competency must also be demonstrated and documented by the supervisor or his/her proxy within thirty (30) days of hire or transfer into position.
  • Recent experience in CT is required, experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
  • Ability to operate all CT equipment and perform all CT examinations independently (e.g., be able to protocol them or work in conjunction with the radiologist) is required.
  • Must be seen as a resource throughout SAMC and be willing to actively participate on Hospital/Department committees as assigned.
  • Ability to relate in a professional manner to patients, physicians, the public and other health care providers and demonstrate excellent customer service orientation is required.
