About The Position

This position is PRN Missouri Cancer Associates is a multi-specialty practice including medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology and urology. We have 25 providers that service ten Missouri communities. Our main office is in Columbia. Through state-of-the-art medical technology, highly experienced physicians and nurse practitioners and quality patient care, Missouri Cancer Associates has become the premier Cancer Treatment Center in Mid-Missouri. In 2022, we celebrated our 40th year of taking care of patients! Fighting cancer takes great strength and courage. It also takes an exceptional team of CT Technologists working alongside our physicians to provide support and be a part of our patient's experience in our clinic. We are looking for a dynamic, patient-centered CT Technologist to join our exceptional team. This position is located at 1705 E Broadway, Columbia, MO! Missouri Cancer Associates is affiliated with Urology Associates of Central Missouri and the US Oncology Network!

Requirements

  • Associate degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.
  • Certification as a registered radiologic technologist (ARRT) required.
  • Current IV and CPR certifications required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire.
  • Knowledge and experience with patient scheduling and billing systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in CT and MRI strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performing diagnostic CT and X-Ray imaging procedures and related functions to include injecting IV contrast, the administration of oral contrast, protocol setup, patient positioning, reconstruction and filming of images, image transfers to PACs or treatment planning system, and archiving of image data.
  • Assist in procedure scheduling and related front office functions to ensure smooth workflow and development of teaching and educational information.
  • Provide protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Conducts daily quality control measures to monitor scanner/equipment performance.
  • Responsible for patient data and films including archiving, retrieval, network data transfers, and requesting of outside films.
  • Application and understanding of the contraindications associated with the administration of IV contrast; recognizing adverse reactions and proper protocols to follow in the event of an adverse reaction.
  • Provide protection for patients and staff in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Conduct daily and/or monthly quality control measures to monitor scanner/equipment performance and take appropriate action if indicated.
