This role maintains and monitors all instruments, electrical, and control systems at a combined cycle power plant, requiring expertise in I&CE disciplines, troubleshooting, calibration, and adherence to safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures. Responsible for following approved procedures, for the start-up, shutdown, normal operations, monitoring, servicing, and maintenance of all equipment and systems at the Osprey CC Generating Facility. Must be familiar with emergency procedures to follow during periods of abnormal operation. Accountable for knowing and adhering to all location safety procedures including red tagging and personal protective equipment. Performs all maintenance disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, I&C) of plant equipment; troubleshoots, repairs, and calibrates equipment. Position must monitor equipment performance through test, analysis, and report variances. Key Focus: This is a highly technical position requiring multi-disciplinary expertise in power generation systems, strong troubleshooting abilities, and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance in a demanding industrial environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Pass EEI MASS Test
  • Journeyman certification in Instrument, Controls, and Electrical disciplines
  • Prior instrumentation, controls, and electrical experience.
  • Pass respiratory physical and confined space requirements
  • Willingness to develop skills in plant operations and mechanical disciplines
  • Must live within a 50-mile driving distance to the plant.

Nice To Haves

  • Military or technical training
  • Combined cycle generating station experience
  • Siemens T3000 Distributed Control Systems (DCS) maintenance and logic development
  • PLC systems troubleshooting
  • Equipment monitoring: combustion turbines, steam turbines, generators, HRSGs, pumps, valves
  • Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) maintenance
  • QA/QC, adhering to plant air permit and Title V compliance
  • CMMS experience (Maximo preferred)
  • NERC standards and cyber security knowledge
