About The Position

Experienced CT Tech needed for FSED PRN coverage (locations available include Normandy Ave, 103rd Street and Middleburg). CT tech must also be able to perform routine Radiology as well as CT. Minimum availability is 3 shifts per month (shift/call). Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
• State Registered Radiologic Technician.
• Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Certificate.
• 1 year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of technical procedures utilizing ionizing radiation and the principles of Radiologic and Computerized Axial Tomography for the purpose of detecting pathology.
• Regulate the equipment used to produce and process images.
• Assist in the daily operation of the CT and Radiology department.
• Establish and maintain a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and medical staff.
• Support and protect the rights of each patient served, treating each patient with dignity and care, and maintaining patient confidentiality/privacy.
• Demonstrate commitment to patient safety initiatives including patient falls, medication safety, National Patient Safety Goals, critical value reporting, and administration of blood products.
• Provide appropriate patient/family education, per department and hospital policy and procedures.
