About The Position

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent required.
  • Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology.
  • Minimum one-year experience as a registered Computed Tomography Technologist required, acute care experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification through the American Heart Association required.
  • Active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)(CT) license required.

Responsibilities

  • Produce quality diagnostic images of human anatomy and vascular structures following prescribed protocols.
  • Perform examinations in a proficient, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
  • Demonstrate radiation protection/safety for patients, staff, and self.
  • Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR).
  • Demonstrate compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
  • Demonstrate strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as interact well with the public.
  • Perform CT exams independently.
  • Follow physician’s orders.
  • Access patency of IV sites before injections.
  • Look up lab values and pull related exams for radiologist viewing.
