The CT Supervisor reports to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiovascular Services or designee. This role is responsible for the coordination of CT procedures and Care Partners, ensuring the provision of efficient and accurate images based on patient diagnosis, and overseeing the overall operations of the CT Department. The supervisor is accountable for department operations, fiscal/financial management, quality assurance, service delivery, environment of care/safety, risk management, and human resource management. Key aspects include providing all aspects of Diagnostic Radiology care according to established standards, demonstrating competency in all procedures, managing daily operations, prioritizing patient procedures, maintaining the CT area, managing supplies, scheduling Care Partners, and handling personnel functions such as selection, evaluation, discipline, and education. The supervisor also administers contrast agents, prepares and organizes CT examinations, ensures accurate charging, collects patient history, trains technologists, collaborates on protocols, reviews software updates, and ensures radiation protection.
