Job Title: CT Scan Technologist (MI) Cost Center: 603181073 IMHos-Radiology-CT Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Employee Type: Regular Work Shift: 40 Normal (United States of America) Job Description: JOB SUMMARY The CT Scan Technologist (MI) works under supervision of the Radiologist, utilizes computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patient’s internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues. JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation. Minimum Required: Graduate of AMA accredited Radiology Technology program. Preferred/Optional: None EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Minimum Required: One year experience as a CT Scan Technologist. Ability to work as a team member and utilize critical thinking and decision-making skills with an emphasis on attention to detail. Must demonstrate an understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology as it relates to Computed Tomography. Effective communication with patients, physicians and staff is required. Must maintain knowledge of patient care techniques to include proficiency in venipuncture techniques for intravenous line establishment and safe administration of contrast utilizing the power injector. Protects confidentiality of the patient and serves as a patient advocate at all times. Preferred/Optional: None CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position. Minimum Required: Current BCLS certification, current ARRT ( R ) registration, Obtain ARRT (CT) registry in Computed Tomography within one year. Preferred/Optional: None Start/End Times: 6am-4pm, 8am-6pm, 11am-9pm, or as assigned. Length of Shifts: 8, 10 or 12 hours, or as assigned. Requirements
