JOB SUMMARY: Operates radiographic equipment to produce high quality diagnostic images. Must be able to review and evaluate orders, images, video and/or computer generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during exam. Position and immobilize patient on exam table. Prepare and administer contrast media within the accepted scope of practice. Record, process and maintain patient data into appropriate EMR/PACs system. Team approach, performing general, Fluoroscopy, surgical and pain management procedures. Able to take and respond to call within 30 minutes.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Current CPR card or completion of course within 30 days of hire
  • Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking and standing.
  • Able to frequently lift up to 60 pounds, reach, pull, bend, stoop, and kneel.
  • Demonstrates adequate vision or correctable glass to read, write, and evaluate medical images.
  • Able to hear or correctable with hearing devices and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the telephone.
  • Able to hear, see and feel to accurately observe, monitor and administer care.
  • Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e. operate x-ray equipment, develop film, venipuncture.)

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred graduate from an accredited Radiological Technology Training program, or equivalent training.
  • Preferred ARRT registry card on file.
