About The Position

The CT Radiologic Technologist performs CT scanning examinations, contributing to the efficient operation of the department and promoting the philosophy, to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care. This position is classified as "safety sensitive," meaning impaired performance could result in harm to the health and/or safety of self or others. Associates actively engaged in the use of medical marijuana will be excluded from employment in this position.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists in Radiography Technology and/or CT Technology
  • Ability to operate CT equipment
  • Ability to manage patients during radiology procedure
  • Knowledge of exams using contrast agents
  • Knowledge of radiographic equipment
  • Knowledge of radiation safety
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Flexibility for on-call duty and disaster work as required by workload and unforeseen circumstances
  • Must display a good understanding of age-related developmental issues of Neonate, Infant, Child, Adolescence, Adult and Geriatric
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and employees within the organization
  • Ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption
  • Ability to attend to tasks for 20-45 minutes at a time
  • Ability to understand and relate to the concepts behind specific ideas
  • Ability to remember multiple tasks given to self and others over long periods of time
  • Ability to communicate verbally, using advanced level of vocabulary
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with patients and families of all age groups, all radiology/nuclear medicine staff, referring physicians and residents, nursing scheduling, patient escort services and administration who may or may not be under physical and /or emotional stress
  • Frequent interaction with personnel in other departments and with vendors
