About The Position

This position is a Baylor role where you work 48 hours but get paid for 72 every pay period, with 12-hour night shifts every Friday and Saturday (11p-11a) under an Alternative Weekend Plan.

Requirements

  • Vocational or Technical Training graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology program.
  • 0 to 2 years medical imaging experience in Computerized Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional Radiology (IR), or Mammography.
  • Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required, must be registered upon hire.
  • Mammography advanced registry (M) within one year of hire, if working in that specialty area.
  • Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below within 60-days of hire: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross, or Allina in-house BLS training.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic radiological imaging as directed by providers or radiologists.
  • Completes procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines.
  • Identifies patients with two identifiers and documents all needed aspects of the procedure accurately.
  • Observes and communicates with patients, responding to their needs.
  • Maintains a safe patient environment in the procedure area.
  • Performs procedures with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of all diagnostic equipment.
  • Gathers relevant information to assist in the interpretation of images.
  • Verifies all imaging has been appropriately transferred to the imaging storage and retrieval system.
  • Provides accurate clerical functions using Excellian (electronic medical record).
  • Ensures all documentation is complete post-procedure.
  • Communicates with supervisor and team, reporting problems, issues, or ideas.
  • Provides assistance, ideas, and information to support the work of others.
  • Other duties as assigned.
