  • Imaging both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following the age specific guidelines of the facilities parameters.
  • Transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Keeping the hospital computer system up to date with the progress of these exams.
  • Participating in outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships.
  • Performing all exams using established protocols.
  • Using facility policy for proper identification of patient prior to performing exam.
  • Educating patient concerning exam.
  • Properly screening patients for any contrast allergies.
  • Completing all exams in a timely manner, keeping work flow moving, and minimizing empty table time.
  • Following through after completing exam with communication, transportation and discharge of OP's.
  • Performing all types of imaging procedures and operating all equipment safely and properly.
  • Demonstrating the knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary.
  • Practicing infection control standards, and utilizing approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
  • Maintaining properly stocked, organized and clean room.
  • Performing QA on CT scanners.
  • Transporting pharmaceutical waste from the point of generation to a designated secure storage area.
  • Reviewing all images of all exams, repeating images as necessary for best possible result.
  • Notifying physician of emergent findings according to established protocol.
  • Using computer system for ordering, changing, and canceling exams according to protocol.
  • Associate's degree or Technical degree in a related field, or combination of High School degree and related experience.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Completion of radiologic technology training and R.T. (R) (CT) (ARRT) registration.
  • General Radiographer (CRT) Florida state license.
