Requirements
- Graduation of an approved Surgical Technology Training Program or Licensed Practical Nurse with previous scrub experience.
- BLS
- Surgical Technologist certification (C.S.T. or N.C.C.T)
- Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
- MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for upcoming surgeries
- Sterilize equipment and stock up any necessary supplies
- Prepare patients for their procedures
- Sterilize equipment and hand surgeons instruments upon request
- Order and take inventory of supplies and maintain files and records of procedures
