About The Position

The CST Labor & Delivery position is a full-time role focused on supporting surgical procedures in the obstetrics and gynecology department. The role involves preparing the surgical suite and assisting the medical team during surgeries, particularly in labor and delivery settings. The position requires a strong understanding of surgical procedures, sterilization techniques, and effective communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare staff.

Requirements

• Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology.
• BCLS certification within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum of two years surgical tech experience desired.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques.
• General knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and supplies.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a labor and delivery setting.
• Additional certifications in surgical technology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite and patient for surgery.
• Assist the medical team during surgical procedures.
• Clean and stock the unit as needed.
• Support the team in vaginal deliveries.
