About The Position

The Customer Support Representative (CSR) is responsible for delivering excellent customer experience through a variety of banking duties. These include opening, modifying, and closing various types of accounts such as savings, demand deposit, money markets, and certificates of deposit. CSRs also extend credit offers to qualified borrowers and process different types of loans, including personal lines of credit, revolving credit, and installment loans. Daily customer assistance involves account research and reconciliation, check orders, safety deposit box services, wire transfers, digital banking, and debit card services. A key aspect of the role is to identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships and suggest additional banking services. CSRs may also refer customers to specialists for services like Financial Counseling, Business Services, Mortgage and Real Estate Loans, Health Savings accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts, Insurance, and Trust Services. Additionally, the CSR may be required to serve as a vault custodian and provide teller services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Steady job history with evidence of advancement
  • Prior customer service or sales experience
  • Good credit and sound management of personal finance
  • Professional dress and demeanor

  • Integrity, trustworthiness, and respect for confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Acute analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Must successfully complete orientation and in-house training upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer experience

  • Process loans including personal lines of credit, revolving credit, and installment loans
  • Assist customers with daily needs such as account research and reconciliation, check orders, safety deposit box services, wire transfers, digital banking, and debit card services
  • Seek opportunities to deepen customer relationships and identify other ways the Bank can serve their financial needs
  • Refer customers to specialists for Financial Counseling, Business Services, Mortgage and Real Estate Loans, Health Savings accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts, Insurance and Trust Services
  • Serve as a vault custodian (as needed)
  • Provide teller services behind the cash line (as needed)
