About The Position

The Multi-skilled Worker II (CSR/MSW II) is responsible for supporting the Supply Chain Coordinator in receiving, labeling, assembling, storing, replenishing, restocking, distributing, shipping, and inventorying supplies/equipment as it relates to the Supply Chain Department scope. The CSR/MSW II may also perform other duties including performing a variety of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and occasional environmental services duties, as needed by the facility. Complies with department and organization-wide policies, Critical Access Hospital requirements, safety and infection control, and Federal/State of Colorado regulation related to the performance of Keefe Memorial Hospital operations and requirements of the compliance program. There will be opportunities for other duties as this position may evolve and policies and training may change. Reasonable accommodations will be reviewed and modifications may be made according to ADA guide lines. Utilizes proper body mechanics, transfer/lifting techniques and appropriate equipment to minimize fall risk to patient and injury to self.

Requirements

Basic computer skillset required, including email and spreadsheets
High school diploma or equivalent required
Organized, detail-oriented skills required
Valid state driver’s license and updated vehicle insurance

Maintain current knowledge of department and hospital operations, local and industry trends and practices, market forces and outside regulatory requirements

Nice To Haves

Experience in supply chain, distribution, manufacturing or healthcare preferred
Previous experience of minor electrical/mechanical or construction required
Awareness of safe working procedures and health and safety requirements preferred

Responsibilities

Compare receivables against purchase order, invoice, packing slip, etc. and document all variances
Inspect quality of received goods and assist in returning damaged items for replacement or refund
Assist in delivering temperature-sensitive and time-sensitive supplies promptly on the day of arrival
Deliver non-critical supplies to appropriate department in a timely fashion
Print and affix labels to patient chargeable items
Return all purchase orders, invoices, packing slips and other shipping manifest, with variances documented, to the Supply Chain Coordinator
Assist with inventory records as directed
Provide awareness to maintain a par level of all restock items within the main storeroom
Restock supplies in assigned locations according to set par/min-max level, including but not limited to, the main Storeroom, CSR, ERs, OR, Clinic, and Office Supply Room
Promptly notify Supply Chain Coordinator of any supply needing to be reordered due to reduced par level in a proactive manner as to not be without a needed supply
Rotate new inventory to the back (with earliest expiration to the front) to minimize expiration of unused supply (first in/ first out)
Assist in accurate records of inventory expiration dates and lot codes within assigned systems within the Supply Chain Department
Report recall information to the Supply Chain Coordinator
Keep bins and shelving units free of dust and debris
Store all products within required temperature and other environmental standards as they relate to the manufacturer, hospital policies and accreditor standards
Place critical need orders in the absence of the Supply Chain Coordinator
Uses all relevant and appropriate tools and equipment
On a daily basis, works on units and other healthcare properties in order to provide a well-maintained, clean, physically safe, accessible and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors
Assists in carrying out maintenance routines both general and planned on a wide range of mechanical plant and equipment which includes:
Lights and lighting systems including cleaning and lamp replacement
Kitchen and catering equipment
Domestic appliances
Portable appliances including tests and basic repairs
Non-medical equipment
