About The Position

Seeking a Surgical Technologist First Assist to serve at Holy Trinity Hospital, Essentia Health's facility located in Graceville, Minnesota. This CSFA works on an as needed basis, picking up shifts to support the surgery department.

Requirements

• Graduate of a surgical assisting program accredited through ARCST and recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health education programs (CAAHEP) OR graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology with certification as a surgical assistant by the NBSTSA.
• Certified as a certified surgical first assist by the NBSTSA.
• AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to the surgeon to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure.
• Assists the surgeon with exposure, hemostasis, suturing, dressing and other duties as delegated.
• May also work as a Surgical Technologist.
