About The Position

AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Position Overview We are seeking a CSAT Tiles & Wingspan Technician to support the high-volume assembly and integration of satellite tiles and full wingspan assemblies. This role is responsible for assembling and connecting large-scale satellite structures using high-speed line connectors in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who can identify issues quickly, keep work moving, and maintain build quality without requiring deep electronics expertise.  This position sits above entry-level mechanical roles (IMERS) and below electronics integration, requiring hands-on assembly experience, comfort with complex builds, and the ability to adapt as issues arise during production.  This position is assigned to Shift 3- Weekends: Friday-Sunday, 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. (3x12s). • Electrical or electronics background is a plus but not required
  • Experience working in aerospace, satellite, or high-reliability manufacturing environments
  • MES or production tracking systems (experience preferred, not required)

Responsibilities

  • Assemble satellite tiles and complete wingspan assemblies per work instructions and build travelers
  • Install and connect high-speed line connectors accurately and efficiently
  • Perform repetitive, fast-paced assembly tasks while maintaining quality and consistency
  • Identify build issues, misalignments, or connector problems and resolve or escalate as appropriate
  • Support troubleshooting of mechanical or connector-related issues during wingspan assembly
