Responsibilities Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Calculate various statistical data - quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per manhour, equipment, etc. Research historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc.) and compile summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates. Participate in developing project update and bid package estimate documents. Maintain files of working documents for back-up to estimating figures. Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction Qualifications Four year degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. Minimum 1-2 years construction estimating, engineering or similar experience. Ability to calculate mathematical extensions, read and understand drawings, purchase orders, contracts, cost coding systems, etc. is essential. General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing required. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while still meeting deadlines. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Proven experience with estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or similar). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
