About The Position

East Penn is currently seeking a custodian who will service administrative areas and medical facility as dictated by management and outlined in custodial work orders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to professional work areas, cubicles, offices, common areas, stairwells, conference rooms, exam rooms and breakrooms.

Requirements

• READING REQUIREMENTS, Basic Reading
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS, Basic Math (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying)
• REASONING SKILLS, Ability to evaluate
• COMMUNICATION SKILLS, Ability to communicate with Co‑workers

Responsibilities

• Responsible for completing custodial tasks as outlined in Daily, Weekly, and Monthly work orders (required to fill out work order sheets fully and legibly).
• Tasks include but are NOT limited to vertical and horizontal surface cleaning, floor cleaning, trash/waste removal, cleaning fixtures/touchpoints.
• Expected to clean restrooms (including opposite gender facilities), utilizing proper signage or barriers to indicate cleaning of facilities is in progress.
• Must be comfortable completing tasks around others in their vicinity.
• Responsible for the overall cleanliness and/or sanitization of their assigned areas and building exterior.
• Responsible for the overall appearance and presentability of areas used by those from outside EPM.
• The use of automatic cleaning tools is required.
• Must use all tools and chemicals correctly and efficiently as instructed while properly utilizing PPE.
• Responsible for the proper daily maintenance/cleaning, and storage/organization of job-related tools and chemicals.
• Must be able to properly manage their time and prioritize tasks.
• Maintains regular attendance.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime.
• Performs other duties as requested.
• Responsible for producing high-quality results.
• Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.
• These tasks are considered essential elements of the job.
