Support crystallization process development activities of the group through laboratory experiments including solubility screening experiments, kinetic solubility and metastable zone width measurements, and laboratory-scale crystallization experiments. Hands-on generation of solid-state characterization data using powder X-ray diffraction and thermal methods such as differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). Analysis of product samples for key physical properties including particle size distribution and particle shape using optical microscopy and laser diffraction particle size analysis. Support of technical initiatives that may involve the design, installation, repair, and maintenance of specialized laboratory equipment.
