The Crusher Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of crushing equipment and related machinery in a quarry environment. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of the crusher, ensuring that materials are processed correctly, maintenance and service of equipment, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in heavy machinery operation preferred.
• Previous experience operating crushers or heavy equipment in a quarry or similar environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to quarry operations.
• Certification in safety training programs (such as OSHA or MSHA training) strongly recommended.
• Background or experience in mechanics can be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Participate actively in company safety programs, including safety huddles and reporting of close calls.
• Foster the safety culture by making good/safe decisions.
• Participate in safety incident investigation and follow through on corrective actions.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, including LOTOTO, Motor Vehicle Policy, Drug & Alcohol Policy.
• Work as a team during emergency situations to ensure quick and efficient response.
• Regularly inspect raw materials before they enter the crusher to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Continuously monitor the crushing process to ensure output size and quality meet project specifications.
• Coordinate with Quality Control Team for regular inspections of output material.
• Make necessary adjustments to the crusher settings to achieve desired product quality.
• Conduct regular maintenance on crushing equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate records of production data and quality test results.
• Work closely with team members to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Stay updated on best practices and compliance standards related to material processing.
• Assist in training new operators on quality control procedures.
• Safely operate various types of crushing equipment.
• Follow standard operating procedures for equipment usage.
• Participate in OJT to gain understanding of existing equipment and operations.
• Track production rates and report discrepancies to supervisors.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on crushing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve operational issues with crushing equipment.
• Load raw materials into the crusher using heavy equipment.
• Monitor feed rate and adjust as necessary for optimal performance.
• Ensure open communication between departments.
• Assist other technicians with jobs requiring more than one person.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and performance issues.

Benefits

• Compensation $20.30 - $24.25 Plus Benefits package.
