About The Position

Semi-skilled employee who under direct supervision, safely assists with maintenance and repair of crush and conveying equipment and related systems.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
• Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
• Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or GED
• Previous experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude

Responsibilities

• Assists Mechanics with maintenance activities including component removal, repair and installation of jaw and gyratory crushers, vibratory screens, conveyors, dust suppression/collection systems, mobile conveying systems ext
• Assists with and performs mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance such as changing filters in the dust collection systems, checking screens, oil levels and lubrication systems
• Responsible for maintaining work orders and performing work area inspections
• May perform welding and fabrication
• May operate mobile equipment such as: forklifts, cranes, and boom trucks
• Performs housekeeping duties
• Performs other duties as required
