About The Position

This position integrates intake, case management, housing navigation, and payment processing to support individuals and families in achieving housing stability. This role serves as a central point of contact for clients, providing assessments, referrals, and direct assistance. Responsibilities include processing payments on behalf of clients, guiding them through resource navigation, and delivering trauma-informed case management services. This role requires building strong relationships with landlords, community partners, and clients while ensuring compliance with program guidelines and documentation standards. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of future funding.

Requirements

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Software.
  • Must have a current driver's license in good standing.
  • Must have own transportation and insurance.
  • Completion of the primary COVID-19 vaccination series (per CDC guidance) is required before the start of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in social work, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferred three plus years’ experience as a Social Case Worker for a public or private agency.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Denver metro area resources is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly desired.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides information and referrals to clients.
  • Conducts client intake and eligibility assessments
  • Develops, implements, monitors, and modifies service plans with clients.
  • Provides crisis intervention and supportive services to assist clients in reaching housing stability goals.
  • Inputs client information into databases as required.
  • Requests financial approval for the services of the program based on assessment of need and availability of resources.
  • Maintains accurate case records; documents client contacts and progress to ensure accountability.
  • Allows new staff and interns to shadow and to sit in with client appointments.
  • Works to ensure proper completion of paperwork and adherence to grant eligibility.
  • Assists with reporting as needed by providing client testimonies.
  • Collaborates with community partner agencies.
  • Participates in other funder-required committees/workgroups as needed.
  • Participates in staff trainings as required.
  • Uses creativity and innovation in service delivery.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client and agency information.
  • Becomes familiar with and navigates assistance through all grants and funding currently being utilized by JFS.
  • Assists with special department programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
