About The Position

Responsible to assist children to and from school in the crosswalk areas while following Crossing Guard Expectations and State Laws.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Proof of citizenship or current legal documentation to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• No illegal drug use in the last 2 years.
• No disqualifying convictions, or offense involving dishonesty, unlawful sexual conduct, physical violence, the unlawful use, sale, or possession of a controlled substance, or any offenses involving children.
• Have a valid government issued ID.
• Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required Sheriff’s Office pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a sense of responsibility for the safety of students.
• Communicates with others clearly.
• Attends training outside the normal crossing periods.
• Adheres to training, instruction, and policy.
• Accepts work responsibilities and exhibit’s a high degree of professionalism.
• Reports any issues with crossing guards or citizens to the chain of command.
