About The Position
The position involves maintaining control of children and vehicular traffic at crossing sites to ensure that children cross safely at designated sites. The crossing guard will direct the actions of children at street intersections, record license numbers of vehicles disregarding traffic signals, and report any infractions to the police. Additionally, the guard will observe vehicles and pedestrians in the area of school crosswalks to report suspicious vehicles or activities. The role requires the ability to provide regular and predictable work attendance, following all safety regulations, policies, and procedures. The crossing guard is expected to report all unsafe conditions to the field supervisor immediately and take personal responsibility to provide exceptional customer service to promote a positive image and foster pride and professionalism in the workplace and community.
