The Cross-Utilized Agent is responsible for providing a seamless passenger experience, including check-in, ticketing, rebooking itineraries, issuing boarding passes, and collecting fees. This role involves ensuring accurate passenger information and on-time flight departures. Agents must be able to resolve passenger issues, potentially work in the Baggage Service Office to track luggage, and handle various physical tasks. These tasks include prepping and securing aircraft, lifting and handling baggage up to 70 lbs (and potentially over 100 items for a single aircraft), pushing/pulling carts, ascending/descending jet-way stairs, bending, stooping, crawling, and driving ground equipment like tugs, belt loaders, and bag carts. The position also requires cleaning and servicing aircraft interiors and lavatories. Agents must be comfortable with computers, mobile devices, and new technologies, use radio electronic devices for communication, and work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions while maintaining composure during customer challenges. Compliance with United and FAA regulations is essential.
