About The Position

My Place Hotel – Jamestown is seeking a dependable, motivated part-time team member for a cross-trained Guest Service Representative / Housekeeping position. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, working independently, and helping keep the hotel running smoothly behind the scenes and at the desk.

Requirements

  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
  • Willingness to be fully cross-trained and assist where needed
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision
  • Team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests professionally and provide excellent customer service
  • Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, phone calls, and guest requests
  • Process payments, complete shift paperwork, logs, and basic cash handling
  • Must be able to complete laundry duties during the shift
  • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining all back-of-house and common areas , including but not limited to: Guest laundry room Stairwells and hallways Lobby and public restrooms Office, storage, and employee areas
  • Assist other departments as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Clean and service guest rooms according to brand standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of public areas and restock supplies
  • Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Ensure rooms and common areas are guest-ready at all times
