This position involves providing coaching and training to assigned groups of clients using Cross Fit methodologies, ensuring safety and facilitating performance towards planned goals. The hours will vary with class needs, ranging from 5 to 15 hours per week. Responsibilities include executing opening and closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the facility, assisting in facility and equipment maintenance, and designing group warm-up protocols. The role also requires coordinating logistics for efficient gym operations, greeting clients, leading group coaching sessions, providing post-training feedback, and developing professional relationships with clients. Additionally, the coach must respond competently to emergency situations, participate in staff meetings, engage in professional development, and perform other duties as necessary.

  • Provide coaching and training to assigned groups of clients using Cross Fit methodologies.
  • Ensure safety and facilitate performance towards planned goals.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of facility.
  • Assist in facility and equipment maintenance.
  • Design and implement group warm-up protocols.
  • Coordinate logistics to ensure efficient operation of gym space and experience.
  • Greet clients upon entering.
  • Lead and supervise group coaching sessions.
  • Provide post-training feedback and cues for improved athlete performance.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients to enhance their gym experience.
  • Calmly and competently respond to emergency situations.
  • Participate and contribute to staff meetings and staff education events.
  • Actively engage in professional development and continuing education.
  • Perform other job duties that may arise or are deemed necessary by management.
  • Minimum of (1) one year Cross Fit coaching experience.
  • National trainer's certification (preferably Cross Fit and/or CSCS or CPT).
  • Completed & maintain Level 1 CF Certification.
  • Excellent verbal communications skills; excellent listening skills.
  • Adept at adjusting to people's moods and personalities.
  • Must have the emotional stamina to be 'at your best' with each group of clients.
  • Educational background in Exercise Science and/or nutrition (Coaches prep course a huge plus!).
  • Olympic lifting, Kettle-bell, Endurance, or other related training certifications are a plus.
