About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Cross Country Coach to join our athletic department. Requirements

• Proven experience coaching cross country or similar endurance sports
• Strong knowledge of training techniques, race strategies, and injury prevention
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes
• First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
• High school diploma or equivalent; coaching certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead practices, including warm-ups, drills, and cool-down routines
• Monitor and evaluate athletes' performance, providing constructive feedback and encouragement
• Organize and oversee team competitions, meets, and travel arrangements
• Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and a positive team environment
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other coaches to support student-athletes' academic and athletic success
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during all training and competition activities
• Maintain equipment, uniforms, and training facilities in good condition
